Heat waves

Kind of the summer version of the “infrequent but frequent enough winter snowstorms”, shuts things down where it would not shut down where it actually snows — thus with preparation and complementary mockery of ” softness”. This weekend, A pizza place is closed with sign at window saying ” Hot weather”. Perhaps has too much of its clientele in outdoor seating. In a city like Phoenix this would not happen — the restaurants have spraying mist going for five or seven months of the year. The spraying mist device is the summer’s snow plow artillery — not quite enough.
