Wisconsin held an election
Friday, April 10th, 2020An interesting fiasco of an election in Wisconsin. I see the write up in the Washington Monthly and the National Review pointing the fingers in opposing partisan directions. The Democratic governor either rushing an infeasible mail in operation of stymied by courts for any delay. The Republicans either salivating at the voter dynamics crushing big city turnout while leaving areas you can jump in six feet away from anyone with no problem, or wondering why the thing couldn’t be put off.
We have no results, but I do have to wonder in strictly partisan terms — for a primary election, does it matter the discrepancy in partisan vote terms? Maybe a rural tilt brings something to the Democratic side on state elections — any candidates moving into November different as a result?
I see an article suggesting Joe Biden needs to select a one of two black women for running mate to galvanize a base. Kampala Harris is one of the two. Question: Given she failed to get any constituent in the primaries… And was a tad exposed there as well…
Then again, Biden garnered one percent in Iowa in 2008…
