Since I recently touched on this here… Preacher Prophet Update

A comment from the Preacher:

You never got rid of me, you fucking fool.
In fact the web traffic on my website has SKYROCKETED.
Yah rebuke you, you fucking filthy hypocrite!

Followed neatly by, two messages later:

LOL, I guess this was a last gasp. He may have even been typing this as the authorities were knocking at his door. It turns out DJL was arrested aproximately 2 hours after posting this.

And:

I was hoping you had heard….G-d is not mocked, sooner or later He was going to shut this fool up.
Let’s pray he stays locked up a long time.

So it goes.  And goes.  And goes.

Well, here’s the more official write-up:

    Fugitive Arrested in Haines
Another scofflaw learns: Rural Alaska is a lousy place to hide.

“Half the people in Alaska are running from something.” At least that was the legend thirty years ago. Sometimes legends contain a grain of truth but in fact, a stranger in a small town sticks out like a sore thumb.
Such was the case when Daniel John Lee, age 31 of Vancouver, Wash., came to Haines, Alaska, fleeing a series of arrest warrants amounting to $150,000 in Clackamas County, Oregon.
Lee checked in at the Eagle’s Nest Motel in Haines, and Clackamas County Sheriff’s Department contacted the Haines Police Department to advise them. At that time Lee had four warrants in Clackamas County, but they were not extraditable outside of the State of Oregon.
According the complaints against Lee, he violated a restraining order, and then resisted arrest at an Oak Grove residence in Clackamas County. At 6′-02″ and 300 lbs., it took several deputies to restrain and take him into custody. Lee is a self-described “street preacher” who believes God speaks through him, and “has reportedly been escalating his use of violent and threatening rhetoric — which, is being channeled through Facebook, directed at Clackamas County officials.”
By February 8th, Clackamas County officials had done their homework. The warrants against Lee had been updated so they were valid anywhere in the United States. When Lee appeared at the Sheldon Museum, Officers of the Haines Police Department, Alaska State Troopers and an Alaska Park Ranger took him into custody without incident.
Lee has been taken charged as a fugitive from justice in Alaska District Court, and will be transported to Lemon Creek Corrections Center in Juneau when transport arrangements can be made.

HAINES, Alaska — A man accused of threatening Clackamas County officials through Facebook has been caught in Alaska.
Daniel Lee, 31, had several warrants out for his arrest. Deputies say he was wanted for contempt of court and resisting arrest. They also say he’s been making threats using the social networking site.
He was arrested Tuesday afternoon, but deputies have not said what he was doing in Alaska or how police tracked him down there.
Lee, who deputies describe as a “street preacher who believes that God speaks through him,” is now awaiting extradition back to Oregon.
