Will China Forgive Phelps?
So Michael Phelps apologized to China, which I suppose will go a long way to repairing our frayed relations with China, repairing our special co-dependent relation with China. China, you understand, was absolutely Apopletic over Michael Phelps’s Bong Use.
These are tense times to be sure. We have yet to receive word on whether China will accept Michael Phelps’s apology. If they don’t — well, you thought our Credit Crunch was bad now, just wait to see China when they feel that they’ve been pushed too far. Pray, pray, pray that China forgives Michael Phelps, for all our sakes.

i picked up the last corn flakes box at the grocer and am hoping i become rich with it via ebay
seriously, don’t forget the vital role of china in the four-powers agreement lol
heard about dave simons? sick
20th century danny boy’s blog has all the details
a shame, i wish none of us got sick
(i really did buy a box of corn flakes with phelps on it & feel it was a dumb move by phelps – the bong deal – he should have realized he’s under the spotlight) (a-rod i don’t have any sympathy for and wish they’d take some action on all these doping fellows – what about the all the guys who didn’t make the team who was good enough but just didn’t take steroids?)
adios

Hm. The US, the Soviet Union, the UK, and France.
What is a “20th century danny boy’s blog”?

not those four
20th century danny boy is a comic blog, a good one too – seeing as you have a link to The Comics Journal on your spot here i figured you were a fan of comics for some reason

I was somewhat inspired by some blogger or other’s blog project of a weekly installment through a year of reviewing his own personal “Top 50 Comics”, but I passed as such a thing would need a scanner.

for me, i’ve enjoyed darwyn cooke’s stuff probably the most out of all lately
he just seems to nail it every single time
steve rude always impresses but doesn’t get things out often but i admire that he still has lettering on his original art pages
i wonder if watchmen will live up to the GN but then again i haven’t read that in years – i love gibbons’ artwork and moore, well he’s on and off for me
i wish DC would have let moore use the old charlton heroes instead of giordano saying “no!”
oh well, back to work for my master…

i am a sucker for comics, i love them!

Early word on the Watchmen movie is it’s crap, which was my gut reaction when I first knew it was coming out.
You know, the Lyndon Larouche Organization ought to release a series of comics in its propaganda push, along the lines of the Mao Chinese Government’s “People’s Comic” or the Jack T Chick pamphlets that are reportedly inspired by it as “the most effective means of communicating the message” (of Jesus). Surely the organization has the artists needed to make such a venture a reality?
